Account Warmup: Why It's Critical for Automation
Why warming up your Instagram account matters and how to do it properly before running any automation campaigns.

If you've ever had an Instagram account restricted after starting outreach, the cause was almost certainly the same: too much activity, too fast, from an account Instagram didn't trust yet. Account warmup is how you build that trust.
What is account warmup?
Warmup is a period of gradually increasing, natural-looking activity on an account before you run campaigns at full volume. It teaches Instagram that the account is operated by a real person with normal behaviour patterns.
Why it matters
- Fewer restrictions: accounts with a history of normal activity get more leeway.
- Better deliverability: messages from trusted accounts are more likely to reach the primary inbox.
- Longevity: a warmed-up account can run campaigns for months instead of days.
A simple 14-day warmup plan
Days 1–4: Look like a real user
Complete your profile, post 2–3 pieces of content, follow a handful of accounts in your niche and spend a few minutes a day scrolling, liking and watching Stories.
Days 5–9: Start engaging
Leave genuine comments, reply to Stories and start a small number of conversations — think 5–10 DMs per day, mostly with people who already know you.
Days 10–14: Ramp up gradually
Increase daily messages step by step. Keep an eye on warnings or "action blocked" notices; if you see one, pause for 24–48 hours and reduce volume.
Rule of thumb: never double your daily volume overnight. Small, steady increases are what keep accounts healthy.
